Aflac car to debut at today's NASCAR race

COLUMBUS, GA – Columbus based insurance company Aflac has teamed up with Carl Edwards, NASCAR driver of the #99 Aflac Ford Fusion, for this year's National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. A specially designed car will makes its debut at the Sprint Cup race in Atlanta today.

The racecar features duck feathers from front to back inscribed with the names of the many unsung heroes who have gone the extra mile for 12-year-old Aflac Cancer Center patient Hannah Layfield. Hannah, like so many children facing cancer, has an army of devoted people who have stood by her and her family during multiple bouts with leukemia. Aflac is striving to recognize those who are there to support children and their families during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month through their new "Friends of a Feather" campaign.

Aflac has unveiled a new limited edition duck for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month as well. All net proceeds from the plush duck will go to the Aflac Cancer Center, along with a $20.00 donation from Aflac for every duck sold. You can also sign up as a Facebook member of "Friends of a Feather" and Aflac will donate $2.00 for every new member that joins by October 6.
