Lions seek talent at Saturday tryouts

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Lions will hold tryouts this Saturday, September 10 and January 7 at the Columbus Civic Center.  

Registration begins at 8:00 AM and the tryout starts promptly at 9:00 AM.  Participants should pre-register online at www.columbuslions.net by clicking on the tryout link on the home page.  Participants should wear athletic shorts, tennis shoes or cleats for a field turf grass surface.

No metal cleats will be permitted.  Players will be tested in the 40- yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, and the "L" drill.  Following the testing, participants will do position-specific drills and 1-on-1's.  The tryout is expected to last 3 hours.

The pre-registration fee is $40.00 and should be in the form of a check or money order and mailed to the Lions office at 400 4th Street, Columbus, GA, 31901. Registration the day of the tryout will be $50.00 and will only be accepted in the form of cash or money order (no checks will be accepted).
