PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -  Phenix City Police have arrested a man in connection with an early morning murder at Abercrombie Apartments on Crawford Road.

Kevin Veasey, 33, faces murder charges after a man's body was found in his apartment.

Police discovered the body of Justin Troutt after they received a call regarding apartment #13 around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say Troutt, 25, may have died from blunt force trauma to the head.  We are told that he may have been spending the night with Veasey. It is believed that the two were acquaintances and the death stemmed from an argument.

Meanwhile, Troutt's body is being sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy Thursday morning.

Veasey is currently being held at the Russell County Jail.  Phenix City police asks if you have any information that can aid in this case to call the department's Investigative Division at (334) 448-2835.
