COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Police now have a man in custody after a nearly 10-hour standoff on Cleo Drive in north Columbus.

28-year-old Nathan Bostick holed himself inside his home with two guns after allegedly threatening to kill himself and then firing at least one shot outside his home.

Bostick's father who lived with him left after the incident began.

Officers say when they forced their way into the home, they found Bostick on the floor in one of the bedrooms with a 9-mm and a revolver.

No one was hurt, but Bostick suffered some hand injuries from allegedly punching the wall. He was transported to the Medical Center after being taken into custody around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say Bostick is a convicted felon who failed to appear in court for a traffic citation.  They said he was afraid of going back to jail, which may have sparked the incident.

They say Bostick will face charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
