COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Ricky Frazier returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to help propel the Troup Tigers to a 44-0 rout of the Columbus Blue Devils on Thursday night in the GHSA Region 6-AAA opener for both teams.

Three other Tigers scored in the first half. Cortez Leonard had a 33-yard run, Eric Bridges powered in from eight yards, and LaMonte Truitt scored from 46 yards and one yard. Jordan Vann added a 38-yard field goal to give Troup (4-1, 1-0) a 36-0 lead at the half over the Devils (2-3, 0-1).

The game was called midway through the third quarter when lightning caused a delay and both coaches agreed to end the game at that point.
