Crowell wins SEC Frosh Honors for third time

For the third time in five weeks and the second week in a row Georgia Running Back Isaiah Crowell has been named SEC Freshman of the Week.

The Carver Alum had recorded his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game (third of the season) in Georgia's 24-10 win over Mississippi State. Despite Coach Mark Richt's comments that Crowell would not have 30 or more carries in a game again, the freshman Bulldog did most of the work at running back. Crowell tallied 104 rushing yards on 22 carries, a 4.7 yard per rush average. He did not score a touchdown. Crowell is the top freshman rusher in the SEC, fourth among freshmen in the nation and tied for fourth overall in the SEC, averaging 103.0 yards per game.
