COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A brand new company is opening up shop in Columbus. Turbine Support Services has moved into a building in the Gateway Industrial Park.

They said their reason for opening in the valley is not only for the great location, but because similar companies like Pratt and Whitney and Cessna give them an amazing pool of employees to choose from.

"There's a lot of that heritage already in this area. We tend to pull from the people who come from that industry so there's a less training. Those facilities have great training programs so when they come to us they are a greater asset to our company," explained TSS President Dean Angerami.

Turbine Support Services manufactures hardware for jet engines.

Currently,  they employ three workers, but they hope within the next year they can expand to twelve.
