Four arrested for battery, robbery and auto theft

TROUP COUNTY, GA - At approximately 1:30 Wednesday morning, Troup County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a location in the 1200 block of New Franklin Road in reference to a report of Theft which had just occurred.

Troup E-911 advised that a vehicle had been taken by three males, leaving the location in the direction of Highway 27 North. After their arrival on scene, the Deputies made contact with a subject who stated that he was at the location to hang out with a female and her friends which he had met at WalMart, and provided a ride to earlier in the evening.

When he acted on invitation by the female to return to the location, three unknown males attacked him and made off with his car.

The victim further alleged that, as soon as the men left, he discovered his wallet and cell phone were missing and his fleece jacket had been torn. At that time, he located a nearby residence where he could place a call to 911.

Deputies gathered descriptions of the vehicle and of the subjects who fled the scene from witnesses in the neighborhood.

Lookouts were placed through Troup County E-911.  Approximately one-and-a-half hours later, Deputies responded to a location inside the 100 block of Wares Cross Road in reference to locating the subjects involved in the earlier incident on New Franklin Road.

Upon arrival, suspects were located with various items belonging to the victim. Investigators were then notified to process the scene and collect evidence. As a result, Christopher Harold Potts (age 24, of LaGrange) and William Paul Brand (age 22, of LaGrange) were arrested and charged with Battery, Robbery By Sudden Snatching and Theft By Taking of a Motor Vehicle. Further investigation, in this case, has produced two other arrests.

Allison Love Clark (age 17, of Franklin)and Timothy Julian Lowery (age 18, of LaGrange) were located at a local motel, arrested for their involvement in this incident and charged with Battery, Robbery by Sudden Snatching and Theft By Taking of a Motor Vehicle.

Later in the day, the stolen vehicle was located, smoldering in a wooded area in the 5000 block of New Franklin Road.
