COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Some of Georgia's top leaders were on hand Tuesday to help  Columbus Technical College celebrate its 50th year as a college.

Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle and state senators checked out the Robert L. Wright Health Sciences Center to see the hands on training Columbus Tech student receive while earning their degrees.

The facility was financed with more than $16 million in state funds and another $10 million from private investment.
