LaGrange soldiers returning and Halloween safety tips

A local homeless shelter needs help right before the holiday season.

Firefighters battled a fire at the house of mercy overnight after an outdoor storage building caught fire around 1:30.

Reports indicate 80 percent of its charitable donations to include clothing were destroyed.

LaGrange Mayor Jeff Lukken has asked people there to show their appreciation for the returning soldiers by coming to Lafayette Square, which will be decorated with flags.

A warning today for parents this Halloween-- be on the lookout for drugs that look like candy or vitamins.

A Thomas County man was caught trying to sell ecstasy shaped like transformers to an undercover officer. Others had sports logos on them, and some were even printed with cartoon characters.

Authorities caution any item that comes from a non-family member that's not factory sealed to throw away.
