House of Mercy gets new shelter from local business

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The shed destroyed in last week fire at the House of Mercy was replaced Tuesday.

Action Buildings donated a new shed to the homeless shelter. The owner and president donated the first storage sheds to the House of Mercy in the 1980s and saw that it was fitting to give back to the shelter again.

"It just made sense for us to take advantage of another opportunity to help a wonderful organization such as the House of Mercy," said Mac Cantrell with Action Buildings.

Bobby Harris with House of Mercy says, "We are so thankful for Action Buildings and the Cantrell Family."
