Valley Rescue Mission in need of hams and turkeys

From the Valley Rescue Mission

COLUMBUS, GA - Thanksgiving is only four weeks away and Valley Rescue Mission is in need of hams and turkeys to serve for Thanksgiving dinner.

Each year the Valley Rescue Mission serves meals to the homeless and less fortunate in our dining hall and delivers meals to the elderly and shut-ins in the Chattachoochee Valley.

The non-profit is in need of 100 turkeys and 60 hams.

This year it anticipates serving about
800 meals. The complete meal includes ham and turkey, cornbread dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, rolls, coffee, tea and assorted desserts.

If you have a ham or turkey or other holiday meal food items you can donate, please bring them to Valley Rescue Mission, 2903 Second Avenue, Columbus, GA.
