GA students enter lottery for low-interest loans

Finally, thousands of college students are hoping for a call from the state of Georgia.

They've applied for a new low-interest loan aimed at easing cuts to the Hope Scholarship Program.

The state will hold a lottery to select students to be a part of this loan program.

More than 35,000 have their names in the hat, and should find out next week if they've been chosen.

The loans have a 1% interest rate.
