Documents were released Friday surrounding the NCAA's investigation of former quarterback Cam Newton.

You'll remember we reported last month that the NCAA found no wrongdoing on Auburn's part and that their investigation had concluded.

The documents detail more about the relationship between Newton's father Cecil and Kenny Rogers, a Mississippi State booster, who attempted to sway the star quarterback to Starkville.

The documents show more than 250 communications between Cecil and Rogers, but also found that Cam was not aware of the texts and phone calls.

It was never proven that Newton received benefits from Rogers and the communications decreased significantly after cam committed to Auburn.

Also in the documents released was a letter from Auburn Athletics Director Jay Jacobs to Cecil Newton that instructed him to stay away from Auburn University's Athletics programs.

The final document released in the packet was a letter from the NCAA to Jacobs clearing Newton of any wrongdoing.

It also cleared auburn of in the investigation of former players Raven Gray, Stanley McGlover, Chaz Ramsay and Troy Reddick.

They appeared on HBO this summer with claims of receiving money during their time at Auburn.

The NCAA found no evidence of improper benefits.
