No. 1 LSU beat No. 2 Alabama 9-6 in overtime

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - No. 1 LSU beat No. 2 Alabama 9-6 in overtime in front of a sold-out crowd of 101,821 Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama goes 8-1 overall and 5-1 in Southeastern Conference play while LSU improves to 9-0 and 6-0 in the SEC.

LSU kicker Drew Alleman connected on a 25-yard field goal to earn the victory for the Tigers after Alabama failed to score earlier in the overtime period.

Heisman hopeful Trent Richardson had 183 total yards of offense on the day, but Alabama could not get it done.

After the game LSU Head Coach Les Miles said if his Tigers made it to the National Championship game he'd be honored to play this Alabama team again.
