Herman Cain to address latest accuser, Swift Mill plans proceed after fire

Good morning everyone, here's what we're working on for News Leader Nine at Noon:

Herman Cain to address latest accuser

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is expected to address his latest accuser of sexual harassment this afternoon. Sharon Bialek has publicly accused Cain of groping her years ago. She says she has "nothing to gain" by coming forward. She's standing by her assertion that Cain made an inappropriate sexual advance toward her when she sought his help finding a job.  Bialek is the first of Cain's accusers to speak out on camera. Cain's camp says he will address these new allegations in a news conference today.

Swift Mill plans proceed after fire

A real estate broker says the owner of the historic Swift Mill in Columbus intends to proceed with plans to develop part of the property into lofts after a weekend fire gutted parts of the mill. Officials say no decision has been made about the rest of the property, where other buildings were burned or severely damaged. The cause of the fire still remains under investigation.

Riverwalk repairs being made following collapse

Columbus is rushing to make repairs to the Riverwalk after about 50 feet of sidewalk collapsed into the Chattahoochee River over the weekend. Crews are working to clean debris from the hole before construction can start later this week. A marathon drawing about 1,200 runners from all over the country is set to fill the Riverwalk this weekend. Cecil Cheves, the race director for the Soldier's Marathon, says they are working on a couple of back-up plans including a new route. City officials say the collapse happened because water was redirected to the area for the Whitewater project. They say this is an isolated problem.

Hope you'll join us for the news at noon!
