CSU Cheerleading Pairs Among the Best in the Nation

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The national co-ed partner stunt rankings were released by the Universal Cheerleaders Association and three Columbus State duos were ranked among the best in the country.

In fact, CSU brought home the number one ranking as the pair of Chelsea Horton and Jason Riel was honored as the best duo in the nation. Horton and Riel finished second in the event last season.

Ali Anderson and Tommy Goforth, the defending co-ed stunt national champions, were ranked third in the nation.

The final CSU pairing was Cassidy Drysdale and David Bellew who came in at number five in the rankings. Drysdale finished last year's competition in fourth place with her former partner Jon Lee.

Columbus State was the only Division II school that had couples invited to the national championships and were the only school in the nation to have invitations sent to three pairs.

The UCA 2012 National Championship will be held on January 13.
