Man on trial for allegedly killing girlfriend's son

Testimony continues in the Lee County, Alabama murder trial of Kenneth Jones. He's accused of killing his girlfriend's 14-month-old son two years ago.

Using pictures from the scene, a deputy testified Wednesday that he became suspicious after arriving.

"It was a very clean smelling house. It smelled like, not Clorox, but some other cleaning solution had been used on the floor where I had knelt down. I noticed the child looked like he had just gotten out of the bath, and he was well dressed laying on the floor in an attention position on the floor. I advised my lieutenant that something was wrong we needed to call an investigator," said Lieutenant Glen Hall of the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

An autopsy showed the child died from blunt force trauma. It's not known if Jones will testify in his own defense.
