Two men were arrested after police say they were part of a group firing shots in a residential neighborhood.
Around 10 pm Saturday night residents on Morningside Drive called police after hearing between five and seven gunshots fired outside their homes.
Witnesses reported seeing a black man wearing all black clothing, who was holding a gun while hiding behind one of the homes. He then jumped into a late model white car with two other men and sped away.
Police stopped the car witnesses described and arrested Carsewell Kemp and Rodgerick Hicks.
Hicks was charged with obstruction of an officer and no state tag. He has since bonded out of jail.
Kemp was also charged with obstruction of an officer, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving stolen property. He remains in the Muscogee County Jail.
Police say other arrests in this case could take place.
