AUBURN, AL – The Salvation Army will serve storm torn
neighborhoods in Lee County, Ala. on Thursday. Staff and volunteers will
deploy throughout the Auburn area to feed, hydrate and encourage residents
cleaning up after Wednesday's severe weather.
A mobile feeding unit and a pastoral care team will work throughout the day to ensure that residents of can focus on recovery, while The Salvation Army meets their physical and emotional needs.
"Auburn residents have been extremely supportive of The Salvation Army's disaster relief efforts across Alabama the past six months. We (The Salvation Army) are resolved to reciprocate their generosity and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Lee County residents," stated Captain Ronette Smith of The Salvation Army.
