OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - State Farm has opened a temporary claims site for policyholders affected by this week's tornados.
The site is located outside Lowe's at 1701 Frederick Road in Opelika and is open today until 7 p.m. and this weekend from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
As of Friday, State Farm is reporting more than 250 home and auto claims in the state of Alabama connected to the storms. More than 125 of those claims are concentratd in the Auburn-Opelika area.
Homeowners with damage to their property should make reasonable, temporary repairs to prevent further damage, and are urged to save receipts for repair supplies, as they could be reimbursed for those costs. Policyholders should call their agent to report damage or visit the company's website at www.statefarm.com
