Columbus woman injured in pit bull attack

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus woman is pressing charges after being attacked by a pit bull.

Eighteen-year-old Laquita Wallace says she was on her way to the grocery store, walking down Bell Street when a pit bull began chasing her.

Police say the victim was bitten in the left leg around 2 pm on Friday afternoon.

Wallace says she received 24 stitches after being treated at the hospital and cannot walk for two weeks.
