COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -Here are some of the stories we're following today.
Firefighters were once again called to the scene of the Swift Mill late Monday night. They put out a small fire around 11 p.m. Demolition of the building continues. Reaves Wrecking says its tearing down dangerous walls that could pose a safety hazard. Meanwhile, investigators are still searching for two people of interest who may have details about the fire that destroyed the old mill earlier this month.
The location of the old, Bibb Mill was close to getting a new life. The Muscogee County School Board, however, voted against purchasing the property. School officials wanted to turn it into an arts academy. The members who voted "no" say the project would have been too costly.
