Arrest sought in Steve Toms’ murder; reward increases

On November 16, Steve Toms was found murdered at the Gold and Silver Trading Center on Gentian Boulevard. He was last seen alive at about 5:00 P.M. on November 15. Area pawn shops are adding to a growing reward fund for information in a jewelry store murder case.  

Thursday morning, the Northside and Money Mizer Pawn Shops offered up $2000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed, jewelry store manager, Steve Toms.

Toms was found murdered on November 16 at the Gold and Silver Trading Center located at Reese Road and Gentian Boulevard. He was last seen alive the day before around 5:00 p.m. Autopsy reports show he was shot multiple times and died from gunshot wounds to the head, neck and chest.

In the same murder case, the Gold and Silver Trading Center is offering $10,000 and Crime Stoppers, $1000, for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

On Saturday December 17, Duffy's is hosting an event called "Banding Together For Steve". At least 10 bands will perform from noon until 3:00 a.m. to raise money that will go towards the reward fund.  Duffy's is located at 4475 Warm Springs Road off Miller Road in Columbus.
