COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Here are some of the stories we're following today:

The family of Jorleys Rivera is now speaking out and demanding the death penalty for the man who has been arrested for murdering the 7-year-old. Rivera was found in a trash bin at an apartment complex playground north of Atlanta, three days after she went missing on Friday. Police arrested Ryan Brunn, an apartment complex groundskeeper.

If you're making your list, you'd better check it twice if you're buying a gift for your child's teacher this Christmas. Accepting the wrong thing could land them in jail! The Alabama Ethics Commission approved some guidelines for students and parents to follow when giving gifts to public school teachers. For example, teachers can accept collaborative gift cards, but not one from a specific student, nor can they take cash from individual students either.

Flying over the holidays will cost you more this year, so you'd better book fast. Experts say airfares are already running about 5% higher than last year. Plus, according to Travelocity, with increased demand over the holidays, it will be harder to find last minute deals.
