Bama's Richardson and Jones win national awards

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Two members of the Alabama Crimson Tide took home national awards at the College Football Awards show at Disney World on Thursday night.

Trent Richardson won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back, while teammate Barrett Jones took home the Outland Trophy as the nation's most outstanding interior lineman.

Richardson is the first Alabama player to win the Walker Award. Jones is the third Alabama player to win the Outland, joining Chris Samuels in 1999 and Andre Smith in 2008.
