Holiday carols at TIC, vote for your school to receive a grant

From TIC

COLUMBUS, GA  – Friday, December 9th, TIC Federal Credit Union and Our Lady of Lourdes will be celebrating the season with the school's annual holiday caroling at TIC's 13th Street Location.

This branch located at 1251 13th Street in Columbus will enjoy both traditional and contemporary carols starting at 10:30 a.m.

This annual event is a highlight for the TIC members and staff with their Partner in Education school.

This celebration features the strong partnership between TIC Federal Credit Union and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.

It is with that same effort that TIC is proud to help promote Our Lady of Lourdes' efforts to obtain a national Clorox "Power a Bright Future" grant.

And for the third year, the Power A Bright Future program is giving students more chances to play, create and explore by awarding several grants to help fund important programs in schools.

The grant will enable the school to purchase smart boards for every classroom and a state of the art computer lab with Adobe Creative software with the goals of achieving an arts-infused curriculum based on the National Visual Arts Standards.  Experiences for the students could include virtual field trips to the Louvre to experience art first hand or hearing Beethoven's 9th Symphony for the first time.

TIC Federal Credit Union encourages the community to support the schools efforts to achieve this grant by voting for this school.

More information can be found at www.powerabrightfuture.com or text to vote: Text clorox9612 to 44144.  Our Lady of Lourdes is the only school in the Columbus community that has applied for this grant and December 9th is the last day for voting

Our Lady of Lourdes and TIC participate in the Partners in Education Program and have been paired together for over 6 years. The Partners in Education program is sponsored through the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
