This is my love story. It starts in March 1980. I was a divorced dad of two boys. I had custody of the boys. Their mother had other things to do. The boys were 6 and 3 years old at that time.
My neighbor told me to go to this church. I took the boys and went to the church. The church had a Sunday school class for singles. I went to the class. I did not know at the time that Martha and two other women in the class were praying for her a good man. When I walked into the room they thought that this one looked like a good possibility. I don't know if she found a good man. I found what I needed. I have never felt worthy of this gift. I may have married Martha out of liking her very much and the fact that I needed her. All of this was twenty fours years ago this March. I am very thankful I have had this gift for this many years.
Martha wanted children. She got them plus the dog and cat. Martha has been a good mother. Now some people would correct me and say she is a stepmother. Martha is not a stepmother. People that know Martha know that she is the mother to our sons. Do you know that one time the ex-wife brought the boys back from one of her visits and was still around when we were going to eat. I didn't know what to do. Martha asked the ex-wife to eat with us. To my shock she did. That is how much people like Martha.
I love Martha very much. If you knew her, you would know she likes being with friends and family. Martha also loves to travel. In recent years she has gone to Italy, Germany, France, Turkey, and Alaska on school trips and with family and friends. I do not want to go, but I do not do well while she is gone. My love for her is the only reason I think that I can let her go. I pray every time that she comes back safely to me.
This is my Love Story and I can only hope that it will continue for many more years.
