COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) - One East Alabama family is without a house after an early Sunday morning fire.
The home on Highway 169 in Crawford, Ala caught fire after 1 am Sunday morning, leaving just a shell.
Fire officials in the area are still trying to determine the actual cause and origin of the fire.
And on the other side of the river in Columbus, a home on Third Avenue caught fire Saturday night.
Fire officials say the blaze did not take long to get under control, and fortunately no one was injured. The home will likely be a total loss.
No other homes in the area were damaged as a result of this fire.
The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
