COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two men are in jail after police say they were selling drugs out of a company truck. An anonymous tip to the police department lead officers to a drug bust and landed two men behind bars.
The VICE unit of the Columbus Police Department got a tip that two men were selling drugs out of a work truck around Holly Hills Marketplace.
Police contacted the property managers and were given the okay to search the truck. Upon investigation police found a little more than an ounce of marijuana along with some scales.
28-year-old Maurice Williams and 26-year-old Jerald Johnson were placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Williams was also charged with possession of a drug related object.
Both suspects are being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
