COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Two people entered a plea of not guilty in Recorder's Court Monday morning after police say they dragged a woman down the street with their car over the weekend.

According to a police report, the victim was just trying to get back her stolen property when she was injured.

Reports show the 19 year old had her cell phone stolen by her on-again, off-again boyfriend Saturday morning, and when she tried to get it back the suspect dragged her down Glenwood Drive with his car.

The victim was treated on the scene for injuries to her knees.

Columbus Police arrested 22-year old Damien Jenkins and 20-year old Monique Battle.  Both were charged with aggravated assault.

Authorities also charged Jenkins with theft by taking.

Both Jenkins and Battle are being held in the Muscogee County Jail with no bond. Their case has been bound over to Superior Court.
