COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Local bands and organizations came together over the weekend to raise money for a reward fund in the murder of Gold and Silver Trading Company manager Steve Toms.
"Banding Together for Steve" was held Saturday night at Duffy's Bar which was owned by Toms.
Toms was found murdered on November 16 at the Gold and Silver Trading Company where he worked. He was last seen alive the day before around 5 p.m. Autopsy reports show he was shot multiple times.
Organizers say the show was a great success and by the end of the night they had raised more than $6,000.
Crimestoppers and local businesses have already put into the fund and that brings the reward to $20,000.
Police still urge anyone with information on the murder to call them at 706-653-3400 and you can remain anonymous.
