Tis the season for tech gifts

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The clock is ticking. Christmas is just three days away. If you are still stumped on what to get the techies in the family, Best Buy has a few ideas for the hottest tech gifts for the holiday.

Tablets are at the top of many lists. Whether it is an Apple iPad or an Amazon Kindle, this cool gadget does a lot.

"It's really hot right now on the scene of everyone going out and shopping. It's a compact laptop. Everything you can do on a laptop- well everything you can do on a laptop you can do on a tablet", said Geek Squad member "Agent D."

The Tablet ranges in prices from a couple hundred dollars to well over $500. For the reader in the family, eReaders are great. You can download multiple books and magazines.

"The visuals of it, so it looks more like paper so it actually looks like paper so it actually looks like a book."

Basic eReaders like the Amazon Kindle and Nook are less than one hundred dollars at Best Buy. You can also save a little more and pick up the Kobo for $79.

If you are looking to spend a little more money, a 3D TV is a great option. "You can watch ESPN 3D they're filming football games, basketball games in 3D,"said Agent D.

Digital cameras are still all the rage. Although DSLR cameras are popular, this season point and shoot cameras are in high demand. "The difference between a point and shoot and a DSLR camera is the portability of the point and shoot."

Games are on every kids mind. New technology makes playing with a partner even more interesting. An additional screen for the PS3 is adding more excitement to the game.

"Whenever you put the glasses on your both looking at the same exact screen. But you're actually seeing something different."
