Snakes blank FireAntz

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Derek Pallardy scored twice and Ian Vigier stopped all 19 shots as the Columbus Cottonmouths blanked the Fayetteville FireAntz 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Columbus Civic Center.

Pallardy scored on a backhander at the 1:54 mark of the first period, then scored 1:46 into the third period to give the Cottonmouths a 2-0 lead.

Greg Beller scored the other goal for the Cottonmouths (13-8-3). It marked the second straight night the Snakes beat the FireAntz (6-15-2). On Monday night, the Cottonmouths won 6-3 in a game played in Fayetteville.

The Snakes host the Knoxville Ice Bears on Thursday night. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 pm ET at the Civic Center.
