NWS: Fire risk high in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The National Weather Service says there's a high risk of wildfires across most of Alabama.

Wind gust are predicted up to 40 mph in parts of the state.

The Alabama Forestry Commission says 58 fires have burned a total of 800 acres across the state in the last month.
