COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A memorial fund has been set up for the toddler who was killed in a New Year's Day house fire.
Jaylen Jackson died after a house on 32nd Avenue caught fire around 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The two people who were able to get out of the burning house were a female cousin of the child and an uncle.
Preliminary autopsy results determined that Jaylen died of smoke inhalation and fire-related injury.
A memorial fund has been set up at Wells Fargo bank for Jaylen. Anyone can stop by a branch location and make a donation to the "Jaylen Jackson Memorial Fund" to help the family with funeral costs.
