Ex-violin teacher case heading to grand jury

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – The case of a violin teacher arrested in Auburn for inappropriately touching a student is heading to a Lee County Grand jury.

Mario Urbina, who is from Columbus, had a preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges of Sexual Abuse of a Child less than 12 years old.

He's accused of touching a female student while giving a private violin lesson at the Auburn United Methodist Church last may.

The incident was not reported until October.

Urbina was a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
