Cheryl Renee has become a trusted face and source for news across the Chattahoochee Valley. You can catch her every weekday anchoring News Leader 9 at Noon and on News Leader 9 at 5:30 p.m. Cheryl also does weekly reports during the 5:30pm newscast called Be There-- a partnership with the Muscogee County School District. It's designed to inspire parents to be actively involved in their child's education and learning experiences, whether they are at school, at home, in the park, at the mall or even shopping.
Cheryl's first television job was at WKTV-TV (NBC) in Utica, New York where she was a general assignment reporter. From there she moved to Savannah, Georgia to work at WTOC-TV (CBS) as a producer, reporter, and weekend morning anchor. An opportunity came that led her across the street to the competition WSAV-TV (NBC) as a reporter and weekend anchor.
Cheryl graduated from Syracuse University with a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds a Master's Degree in Business from Case Western Reserve University in her hometown of Cleveland, OH. Cheryl earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.
Cheryl is a licensed Realtor in Georgia. When not at the TV station, she enjoys getting real estate and decorating tips from HGTV, traveling, finding good buys at flea markets and spending time with her husband, Todd.

Who's one of your biggest inspirations?
It may sound cliché, but it's my mom. She managed to have a career, raise a family, and still have a home-cooked dinner ready! And she's a great cook, just ask my dad.
