COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus woman is behind bars after police say she shot an elderly man.

Columbus police tell News Leader 9, the 70-year old victim drove himself to a hospital after he was shot multiple times by his neighbor, Linda Bular.

The incident took place at his home located on Clarabelle Street.

He told police while he was standing in his driveway he was confronted by his neighbor who was carrying a handgun. He says she immediately started firing shots at him and hit him in his back and shoulder.

Following the shooting, the victim got into his car and drove himself to the emergency room.

This is not the first time Bular has been in trouble with the law before. In March of 2011 she was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after cutting a man's throat, chin, and face with a two inch blade.

The incident happened at her Clarabelle Street home when she got into a fight with the victim as he tried to leave her house.

She is being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
