OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – Two people are facing drug charges in Lee County after separate incidents earlier this week.
Jimmy Lane from Smiths Station led police on a brief chase after a deputy tried to pull him over.
He fled the car and was caught a short time later.
Lane has been charged with possession of methamphetamine along with several traffic citations.
Second, Shelia Johnson was arrested after authorities from Lee County, Auburn and Opelika executed a stolen property and drug search warrant.
They found items used to make meth, and Johnson is now facing several charges including trafficking.
She is currently being held on $55,000 bond.
