A baby found unresponsive at an Albertville home two days ago died Friday morning in a hospital.

Marshall County Sheriff's officials said 11-month-old Gemma LaShae Moore passed away just after 5 p.m. Thursday afternoon. She was rushed to the hospital Tuesday after being found non-responsive at a home on Denise Circle just outside of Albertville.

Police arrested 24-year-old Bridgett Duncan and her boyfriend, 17-year-old Immanuel Gage Allen, on aggravated child abuse charges.

Now family members are speaking out. They said the mother of the child loved her daughter very much but admit they don't always know what went on behind closed doors.

The sheriff's department is working with the district attorney to upgrade the charges against the child's mother and her boyfriend.

Both are currently in the Marshall County Jail on a $2-million bond each.

Meanwhile, the family mourns her death saying they were in contact with Gemma just the day before.

"I'm real close to the baby.  As a matter of fact, I had her Monday and she was just fine.  I took her back to her around 3 that evening then we get a call Tuesday night saying she's un-responsive," said Gemma's uncle, Benjamin Williams.
