The National Weather service reports that it has determined that two additional tornadoes touched down in Alabama Monday, bringing the tally of tornadoes that struck the state to 8.
The tornadoes are reported to have touched down in for following areas:
Maplesville in Chilton, Perry Counties North Millbrook in Elmore County Tuscaloosa County Jefferson County Sumter County Saint Clair County Elmore County
Weather officials are still evaluating storm damage. The strongest twister was an EF-3 that hit St. Clair and Jefferson Counties.
