Gary Henderson (Lee County Sheriff's Office)SMITHS STATION, AL (WTVM) – Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Lee County, including a grandmother.
Gary Henderson and Sandra Whitehead were taken into custody Thursday after a principal reported a third grader had small amounts of a powdery substance.
Authorities then searched two homes in Smiths Station where they say they found drugs and equipment used to manufacture meth.
Henderson was charged with possession of hydrocodone and marijuana.
Whitehead has been charged with manufacturing meth and endangerment of a child.
