Coroner rules missing Barbour County man died from stab wounds

BARBOUR COUNTY, AL (WXTX) – There are more details on the cause of death of a Barbour County man.

According to the Barbour County Coroner, 27-year old Willie Pugh was stabbed to death.  He went missing on January 14 and his body was found nearly two weeks later.

Last week the home of Willie Dickerson, a person of interest in this case, was intentionally set on fire and has been ruled arson, according to authorities.

They say they were still able to get evidence, and an investigation into the murder continues.

Dickerson is currently in the Houston County Jail on unrelated charges.
