QUITMAN COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -

An Eufaula man was arrested Saturday afternoon for opening fire on at least 12 people who sat on the front porch of a home on High street in Georgetown.

Quitman County sheriff's deputies arrested Howard Grant, 42, in connection with the shooting.

Newton says the shooting stemmed form a domestic dispute between Grant and his wife Brenda Grant. A statement from the Sheriff's office says Howard Grant fired several shots onto the porch from his vehicle.

Quitman County Sheriff Steve Newton says witnesses tell deputies that 8-10 small children were on the front porch at the time of the shooting and several bullet holes were discovered next to where Grant's wife was standing.

He is currently being held in the Miller County Jail. No one was injured in the shooting.
