TROY, Ala. (WTVM) - Mike Dean has stepped down as athletic director and head football coach at Valley High School to take the same position at Charles Henderson High in Troy, it was announced on Thursday.

Dean spent just one season at Valley, leading the Rams to a 9-3 record, the Region 2-5A title, and the second round of the AHSAA playoffs. Charles Henderson also plays in Region 2.

He replaces Hugh Fountain, who stepped down last month.

The Rams have had three head football coaches over the past four seasons.
