COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
WTVM's Most Wanted series has done it again.
Derrick Shields was arrested Friday, after being featured on February Second's edition of Most Wanted.
Columbus Police tell News Leader Nine, an anonymous caller tipped police off on Shields' whereabouts on Friday. The patrol and fugitive squads were able to catch Shields after a short foot chase at the Cross Creek Apartments.
22 year old Shields was wanted for aggravated assault after being involved in a shooting that took place in Columbus on January 14th. Shields was considered armed and dangerous.
Shields is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and possession of firearm. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court Monday at 2 p.m.
