SMITHS STATION, AL (WTVM) – A Smiths Station man has been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of his brother.
According to Lee County Sheriff's officials, Mark Eller, 26, fired several shots which hit 31-year old Ronnie Eller Jr.
He was found at a home in Salem, Ala suffering from multiple wounds, including one to the face.
The Lee County Sheriff's office say witness statements indicated the two men had been in an on-going argument over family items after the death of their father.
Ronnie Eller Jr. is currently in the ICU at the Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
