CSU moves to No. 5 in latest Division II baseball poll

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus State University baseball team has jumped in two separate polls this week after completing a three-game sweep over Saint Leo this past weekend. CSU outscored the previously unbeaten Lions by an 18-5 over the three game series.

In the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, CSU has jumped up from the No. 9 spot in the poll up to No. 5. They are the highest ranked Peach Belt Conference member in the CBN poll.

The Cougars moved up from the No. 23 spot to the No. 20 spot in the College Baseball Lineup poll. In this poll, Columbus State is the third highest ranked team from the PBC behind No. 2 Francis Marion and No. 8 UNC Pembroke.

Columbus State will travel to take on Auburn-Montgomery on Wednesday, February 15 in a non-conference matchup. They will then potentially have their stiffest competition all year as they take on PBC preseason favorite and No. 7 Francis Marion in each team's conference opener. The three-game series gets underway Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET at Ragsdale Field.
