HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Huntsville man was taken to the hospital after he crashed his vehicle into a pool during a police chase early Monday morning.
Officers were called to a domestic situation on Governors House Drive around midnight. Police said 28-year-old Antwan Shauquese High left the victim's home just before officers arrived.
Officers attempted to stop High and he drove away attempting to elude police.
During the chase, High drove his vehicle through a fence, across a backyard and into the pool on Crestwood Drive.
High was taken to the hospital because he complained of pain in his legs. Doctors checked High out at the hospital and said he did not suffer any injuries.
He was arrested and charged with third degree domestic violence, three counts of criminal mischief - damage do private property, one count of damage to public property, reckless endangerment and attempting to elude a police officer.
